REMO Researcher completes a sabbatical year at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC)

The Prof. Clement A. S. Tanajura completed his sabbatical at UCSC in April 2014. His host was Prof. Andrew Moore of the UCSC Department of Ocean Sciences. The visit was dedicated to the continuation of his work on data assimilation with EnOI in HYCOM and the implementation of the 4D-Var data assimilation system in ROMS in the subregion of the southwest Atlantic off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The 4D-Var system already installed in the UFBA is in tests of assimilation of temperature of the sea surface and elevation of the surface of the sea.
