Inclusion of REMO in GHRSST

REMO, through its Remote Sensing group led by Prof. Gutemberg B. França, coordinator of the LMA / UFRJ (Laboratory of Applied Meteorology), was included in the Group for High-Resolution Sea Surface Temperature (GHRSST) in October 2010. REMO is the only group in Latin America to be part of this group. GHRSST provides a new generation of high-resolution TSM products, combining data from different satellites and measurements in situ. GHRSST is a permanent member of GODAE OceanView and this invitation came through the participation of REMO at the II Meeting of the Scientific Committee of GODAE OceanView in early October 2010.
